| Kentaro was born in Osaka, Japan on October 3, 1975. He is the eldest son to Miyako Fujitani and Steven Seagal. He spent his early childhood playing swords and practicing aikido with his parents at their dojo, Tenshin Dojo. |

| At the age of 15, he went to America to join his father who was at the peak of his career as an action star in Hollywood. He went to Staten Island living with his guardian, Jules Nasso, who was his godfather at that time. |

| He completed his high school education at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He went back to Los Angeles after finishing high school and was enrolled in University of Southern California for Fine Arts. |
